LG Sonic has been productive in Q1 2023 with new projects deployed worldwide, from our Dutch headquarters to regional offices in the US and Brazil. Innovative utilities and corporations in countries like the United States, Brazil, Israel, and Nicaragua have opted for LG Sonic’s technology for eco-friendly algal bloom monitoring and control.
Making waves
LG Sonic’s ultrasonic algae control technology has been recognized as an effective and eco-friendly solution for controlling algal blooms in lakes, ponds, reservoirs, and other bodies of water. The technology uses ultrasonic sound waves to target and disrupt the cellular structure of algae, preventing them from blooming and spreading.
In the United States, LG Sonic has deployed its MPC-Buoy system in several locations, including a drinking water reservoir in Pennsylvania. The technology has also been implemented in Brazil, where it is being used to control algae growth in an industrial water reservoir of one of the largest aluminum product producers in the country.
Greg Eiffert, director of LG Sonic US, asked about the growth in the United States and said “We’re excited about LG Sonic’s growth in the US and providing sustainable and cost-effective solutions for algae control and monitor water quality.”
New frontiers
In Israel, LG Sonic’s technology is being used to control algae blooms in a reservoir of one of the country’s largest mining corporations. The company’s technology has been selected for its ability to provide a non-invasive and chemical-free solution to the problem of algal blooms.
In Nicaragua, LG Sonic has deployed its technology in a lake that is a popular tourist destination. The technology is being used to control blue-green algae (Cyanobacteria), which can be harmful to humans and animals.
Javier Ortiz Vargas, account manager LATAM said: “We’re thrilled to introduce our ultrasonic algae control technology to Nicaragua. The implementation of LG Sonic’s technology in the country’s waterways represents a significant step forward for sustainable water treatment solutions in the region.”
Overall, LG Sonic’s new algae control projects demonstrate the growing demand for environmentally friendly solutions to the problem of algal blooms. As more companies and organizations seek to reduce their environmental impact, LG Sonic’s technology is proving to be an effective and sustainable solution.
